The local Primary Care network that consists of the following practices:

Portmill Surgery

Whitwell Surgery

Have not been commissioned to deliver the Covid Vaccination Third dose/booster programme. The practices felt that they did not have the manpower to deliver this programme as well as ensuring that the practices were able to continue to support the huge increase in patient demand as well as the Flu vaccination campaign.
The new NHS guidelines for GP surgeries meant if we live with any Covid positive person we needed to isolate for the full 10 days, which means that this reduces the staffing levels and puts additional pressure on our services.
We are waiting to hear what the CCG is planning for our housebound patients however, as of yet they have not been able to secure a provider to deliver this service. Rest assured that the practices are in regular contact with the CCG to find out what the service looks like and the time frame in which it will be delivered and more importantly how the patients will be contacted.
