We are now using a new way of booking the Covid vaccine appointments this is due to the large numbers of patients in each group that need to be booked in. For those with a mobile phone the following will happen
- Text 1 will invite you to click on a link to book your appointment
- If you have not clicked on the link 24-48 hours later, you will receive a reminder text
- If you have still not clicked on the link you will receive a further text within 24 hours advising you that your link will expire and to book now
- If you still have not booked your appointment your link will be withdrawn
This is to ensure that vaccines are not wasted and other patients can be offered the limited amount of appointments we have (due to short notice of delivery dates and amounts of vaccine delivered)
Please do not contact the surgery if your link has been withdrawn, unless you inform us that you do not want to have the Covid vaccine you will be invited again but we are unable to give you a timeframe due to the limited information we have on deliveries of the vaccine.
If you wish to decline the Covid vaccine please use the contact the practice form on our website stating you wish to decline the Covid vaccine. This will prevent us from continuing to contact you.
For patients without a Smart phone
If you have received a text with a link and your phone does not allow you to use the link please call reception to let them know. They can then manually book the appointment for you. Please do not call if you have not received the initial message.
For patients without a Mobile
Please wait for a member of the practice team to contact you on your house phone.
Thank you to all patients for your patience with the Covid vaccine. I would kindly ask that queries about the Covid vaccine via reception are kept to a minimum to allow patients who are unwell to be able to call the practice.
